Feldspar is the most abundant mineral of the igneous rocks. The two types of feldspar are soda feldspar and potash feldspar. Feldspar-silica mixtures can occur naturally, such as in sand deposits, or can be obtained from flotation of mined and crushed rock.
About 20 million tonnes of feldspar was produced in 2010, mostly by three countries: Italy, Turkey, and China. Kenya also produces large volume of feldspar. Feldspar is a common raw material used in glassmaking, ceramics, and to some extent as a filler and extender in paint, plastics, and rubber.
Feldspar Crusher Plant
Due to its various industrial applications, feldspar mining and crushing is promising and profitable industry. Zenith has been specialized in stone crushing technology for long history. We developed complete range of feldspar crusher plant in Kenya.
Jaw crusher, impact crusher, or gyratory crushers are usually used for primary size reduction. The crusher product, normally 7.5 to 30 cm in diameter.
After primary crushing, the stone that is too large to pass through the vibrating screen will be crushed in the secondary crusher. Cone crushers or impact crushers are commonly used for secondary crushing, which typically reduces material to about 2.5 to 10 cm.
Oversize material from the top deck of the sizing screen is fed to the tertiary cone crusher. The crusher output, which is typically about 0.50 to 2.5 cm.
Mobile Jaw Crusher for Feldspar Crushing
Jaw crusher is the world favorite feldspar crushing plant. The mobile jaw crusher is based the traditional stationary crushing technology, with truely mobility and flexibility, it is excellent for various crushing application such as quarrying, mining, construction, and recycling etc.
